Candles have been produced for centuries from fossil oil and fat-based materials. There is hardly any other product that has endured over the centuries like the candle.

During the process of burning CO2 is released.  This rises into the atmosphere and changes the balance of radiation and stores the rays of the sun, which are reflected by the earth.

Fossil oil and paraffin are becoming more expensive.

When used as an energy carrier the carbon stored millions of years ago is released and the release of CO2 is also brought about.

Strategy

A basis for new raw material had to be found. We decided to produce our candles from a regional sustainable raw material, also recycled matter. In this way the chain of production was regionalised for the first time and made independent of fossil oil and palm oil imports.

Our candles are made from materials which are based on a natural cycle. These materials have not been used in candle- manufacture before.

The raw materials are from local origin.  The candles are produced in Germany. They are high quality candles, environmentally friendly and made from sustainable organic matter from our region.  We do not use fossil oils or compete for palm fruit which is needed for the food industry and animal feed.
